Q Look at the links regarding genetic technologies in your course documents section (e.g. making babies, our genes/our choices, gene therapy etc) and talk about the pros and cons of a specific procedure, concept or the issues associated with a genetic condition (e.g. Huntington's chorea). Your post must be unique, so read through the previous posts to make sure that you are talking about something that has not been discussed previously in the same manner.

First, I would like to discuss the article regarding Making Babies. This article specifically addresses examiners who deal with reproductive medicine, "bringing children to those unable to reproduce naturally." I think there are many pros to this genetic technology because the frustration, defeat, blame, guilt - amongst many other emotions - are so prevalent with infertility. It can be a taxing experience and as two people so desperately desiring a family, will go to the end of the Earth to conceive - even if it is done medically and not naturally. I feel this technique has benefited and helped many families who have struggled with this. I also think even if the process is unsuccessful, what more is there to lose at that point when you have done everything you could to have your own children.
